#ICYMI: One of the biggest blind spots in meat waste isn’t in stores — it starts in manufacturing. Our new global study, supported by the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr), reveals that food waste across the supply chain is now equivalent to 33% of revenue. Meat waste alone is a massive part of this, projected to reach $94B in 2026. Despite the scale, our research shows 1 in 5 businesses struggling with meat waste say their biggest challenges happen on the processing line: mislabeled batches, “orphaned” inventory that can’t be traced and pallets held up in distribution because expiry data isn’t clear. This is where intelligent labels and connected packaging can change the game. ✅ Track every cut from line to pallet ✅ Monitor expiry and conditions in real time ✅ Prevent avoidable write-offs from mislabeling and manual error When manufacturers can see what’s happening at the item level, they can prevent waste long before it reaches the shelf — turning a major visibility gap into a controlled source of efficiency and value. 📘 Explore how visibility is reshaping meat, produce and bakery waste in our new report: https://avydn.co/4rNWDxl #FoodWaste #Manufacturing #SupplyChain #Visibility #MakingPossible
