Vita-Poshtova Interchange: Casting the Monolithic Bridge Deck! At the Vita-Poshtova interchange on the M-05 Kyiv–Odesa Highway, the first stage of concreting the central bridge span has been successfully completed. More than 560 m³ of concrete has been placed. To prevent moisture loss while the concrete gains strength, the deck surface was treated with a special curing compound that forms a protective film. A monitoring system with embedded sensors has also been installed to continuously track the concrete’s temperature and moisture throughout the curing process. The monolithic deck is curing under conditions that closely replicate those used in the factory production of precast reinforced concrete structures. By the end of this week, we plan to begin post-tensioning the deck of the central span. We will explain how this process works in our upcoming posts. 🚩 As a reminder, in the summer of 2025, our company completed the first phase of the Vita-Poshtova interchange project – the tunnel and the roundabout on the Boyarka side. Since then, drivers have been able to make safe turns and U-turns towards Kyiv.
