And all because of the appearance on the safari of the fresh Jeep Magneto concept. ⠀ The fact is that under the exterior of the classic Wrangler SUV, an electric car is hidden here. The same powerful body, the same chrome frames instead of the roof, but instead of electric motors on the axles - a power plant under the hood and several batteries. And the most unusual thing for an electric car is a six-speed manual transmission. ⠀ Another feature of this SUV is the disconnected batteries. The first package is located above the front axle, the second fills the space of the gas tank, the rest - under the boot floor and in place of the classic muffler. Moreover, each battery has additional moisture protection, so Magneto will be able to move not only on land, but also to overcome streams, mud puddles or shallow (up to 70 cm in height) rivers. ⠀ The total capacity of the batteries is 70 kW • h. Manufacturers promise that it will be enough for 350 km of run on a single charge.
