Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will welcome the Prime Minister of Japan Sanae Takaichi to Australia from 3 to 5 May 2026. Leaders will hold the Australia–Japan Annual Leaders’ Meeting at Parliament House in Canberra on 4 May 2026. They will discuss strengthening our defence and security partnership, and ways to build energy supply chain resilience.
