A cross-country journey for one of Australia’s cutest bandicoots. ✈️ Forty endangered Shark Bay Bandicoots have travelled 2,786 km from Mount Gibson Wildlife Sanctuary on Badimia and Widi Country, WA to Mallee Cliffs National Park in NSW on Barkindji Country, where they were released into a 9,750-hectare feral predator-free area. The bandicoots join 20 others released in November last year as part of a species restoration partnership between AWC and NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. 📸 A Ananda/AWC
