Royal Australian Navy veteran Corrie knows serving goes beyond the uniform; often, it means helping a worthy cause. April 25 has always been a proud day for Corrie and family; this year, it holds special meaning as Corrie joins our Anzac Day service team in Villers-Bretonneux, France. ‘Volunteering in France is especially meaningful, it’s such a significant place in Australia’s wartime history and my family history,’ Corrie said. ‘My great-great-grandfather served on the Western Front during the First World War. ‘I’m looking forward to simply being there and contributing to support the service.’ Corrie’s great-great-grandfather served over a century ago, but his memory lives forevermore in Corrie’s heart and in our nation’s. We will remember them. Lest we forget.
