New Consumer Reference Guide for windows and external glazed doors Standards Australia, in collaboration with AGWA, has jointly developed a Consumer Reference Guide for windows and external glazed doors to promote awareness of Australian Standard requirements and help homeowners and project teams make informed, compliant product choices. The guide explains where to start when researching windows and doors, including testing to AS 2047, glazing compliance, energy performance, installation suitability and weatherproofing, and product labelling, supporting clearer conversations between consumers, suppliers, and installers. Selecting products that comply with relevant Australian Standards helps ensure windows and doors perform as intended for their location, supporting safety, durability, and comfort over the life of the building. The guide is available to download from the AGWA website and is a practical reference to encourage early consideration of compliance before products are specified or installed.
