🎸 Once a punk rocker, always a musician. Before moving into his Afford Supported Independent Living home, Gerardo played guitar in a punk band. Music has always been a big part of who he is - and that hasn't changed. These days, you'll often hear the sound of Gerardo's guitar filling the house as he plays for staff and his housemates. Whether it's a familiar favourite or an impromptu performance, there's always someone happy to stop, listen and enjoy the moment. At Afford, we know that moving into a new home shouldn't mean leaving behind the things you love. In fact, we believe it's even more important to keep doing the hobbies, interests and activities that bring joy, confidence and connection. That's why we work alongside every resident to support their passions - whether that's music, sport, art, cooking, gardening or anything else that makes them who they are. From helping people access equipment and community activities to simply making time to cheer them on, we're here to help people continue living life their way.
