We were pleased to recently welcome members of the National Food Council to Parliament House for their second meeting. The council was joined by the Hon Julie Collins MP, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and Council chair and DAFF Secretary Victoria Anderson. The Council's discussions focused on national security, the conflict in the Middle East and impacts on food supply chains and critical inputs. A National Food Supply Chain assessment was announced to be led by Andrew Henderson. Andrew will step away from the Council and Simeon Gilding will join. We look forward to bringing you further updates about the Council and their work across 2026.
