Excellence on Australia’s biosecurity frontline was recognised today with the announcement of the 2025 Top Dog awards. 🏆 Top Dog – Detector Dog Ghost and handlers Rebecca and Jade, for exceptional frontline impact intercepting 3,202 biosecurity risk items over 2025. 🌟 Most Versatile – Detector Dog Quatro and handler Steph, for outstanding versatility and adaptability with detections across the widest range of commodities. 🚀 Rookie of the Year – Detector Dog Clyde and handler Dennis, in recognition of an outstanding performance in a detector dog’s first year of operational service with 829 interceptions. Biosecurity detector dog teams screen millions of travellers and goods each year, delivering fast and accurate detection capability at Australia’s biosecurity frontline.
