Congratulations to Dr Jared Greenville and Dr Ranjith Subasinghe Arachchige, who have been awarded the Public Service Medal as part of the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours. The Public Service Medal recognises outstanding service by public servants across Australia. Dr Greenville has been recognised for his significant contribution to agricultural and resource economics, and his leadership of the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES). Dr Subasinghe Arachchige has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to Australia’s plant biosecurity system, particularly national plant health surveillance. We are proud to celebrate their achievements and the important contribution they have made to the department, the Australian Public Service and the Australian community.
