Last week, the ACYD brought our global community together for a week of alumni events. 🌏 Our online annual Symposium featured sessions with Richard McGregor, Helen Zhang (ACYD '11), Haolan Wang (ACYD '25), and Marina Zhang, facilitated by Corbin Duncan (ACYD '25). The conversation covered Trump's visit to Beijing and the "so what?" for Australia, the implications on global AI advancement and governance, the untapped potential of sports diplomacy, and what the "China-maxxing" trend tells us about the fundamental shifts in young people's thinking and outlook on China. In Beijing, Sydney, Shanghai, Melbourne, Perth, and Canberra, alumni gathered for dinners to reconnect and reflect on the Symposium and global events shaping the Australia-China relationship.
