Sixteen years ago, Squadron Leader Nathan Mula was a student on Operation Gateway, learning to operate in one of the world's busiest maritime environments. From operational service on the AP-3C Orion, helping introduce the P-8A Poseidon into service, operational deployments and international exchange postings, his career has spanned a period of significant change in maritime aviation. Today, he's back in Malaysia as a flight commander, helping prepare the next generation of Royal Australian Air Force maritime aviators for operational service. "It's the most rewarding role of my career," he said.
