“From a small town to the world” or: How an idea from three founders grew into a Hidden Champion AURA has been recognized as a Hidden Champion of the TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe GmbH Karlsruhe. An award given to companies that rank among the global top three in their niche and/or hold the number one position on their home continent. But when we look at this award today, we do not just see a certificate. We see more than 40 years of company history: We see three founders in 1982. An idea, a great deal of courage and no guarantee of success. We see years of growth. But also crises, uncertainty, and difficult decisions. A company that repeatedly had to reinvent itself in order to overcome a wide range of challenges. We see people who stayed. Long-standing partnerships. Customers who have trusted us for decades. Employees who stood with us, even when the road was not easy. That is why AURA being recognized as a Hidden Champion today is not just a snapshot in time. It is the result of all of this. But despite the pride that comes with this award, the real work still lies ahead of us: Germany is under economic pressure. Too much bureaucracy. Processes that are too slow. Uncertainty surrounding energy, investment, and infrastructure. And at the same time, a global competition that never pauses. This makes it even more important that we do not start underestimating ourselves. Because Germany is still creating technologies, innovations, and solutions that are in demand all over the world. There are still people willing to take responsibility, take risks, and create jobs. But this cannot be taken for granted forever. If we want industrial value creation to remain in Germany in the future, it will require commitment at every level: in companies, in politics, and across society. It requires more courage in decision-making, greater speed, stronger work ethic, and more flexibility. We therefore see this award as a responsibility to continue on our path with the same courage: to keep investing, to respond flexibly to national and international challenges, and to keep evolving. And above all: to continue believing in Germany as a strong industrial location, especially when times become difficult. Because Hidden Champions are not created by chance. They are built by people who refuse to give up. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey since 1982. And thank you to everyone who will continue it with us.
