Braking is safety. Yet, tomorrow’s brake systems need to go way beyond just stopping a vehicle. As vehicles electrify and autonomous functions advance, brake systems face new demands: built-in redundancy for brake-by-wire, optimal recuperation performance to maximize range, and modular software-defined architectures that adapt over the vehicle lifecycle. One example in detail: our green caliper reduces drag torque to less than 0.2 Nm, cutting energy loss. In addition, we are able to reduce caliper weight by 15–20%, while maintaining efficiency (pressure vs. torque) comparable to a traditional hydraulic brake.
