10 Years of Realcorp . In 2016, I was working full-time as a Chartered Accountant. On paper, everything made sense. Stable career. Professional services. Clear path. But I had the entrepreneurial itch. From the outside looking in, the commercial cleaning industry felt… unsophisticated. I could see hard-working people everywhere, but very few systems. Limited transparency. Not much structure. Minimal controls. Coming from a professional services background, I genuinely believed we could bring something different to the sector: • Systems • Process • Financial discipline • Controls • Transparency • Professionalism So I started knocking on doors around Richmond… in my lunch break. Literally. I picked up a couple of small office jobs. At night and on weekends, my wife and I did the cleaning ourselves. Vacuuming, mopping, wiping desks, taking bins out. Learning the work from the ground up. In the early days, it was just belief in the systems we were building and the conviction that the industry could be done better. Over time, trust grew. Clients stayed. Referrals came. The team expanded. Fast forward 10 years… Today Realcorp looks after around 65 buildings across Melbourne, regional Victoria and Adelaide, and employs close to 100 people. What I’m most proud of isn’t the number of buildings. It’s the people. The team members who backed a small business with big ambition. The supervisors who stepped up. The clients who trusted us. The many individuals who’ve been part of the journey over the past decade. The next 10 years are even more exciting. Grateful for the journey so far. Grateful for the team. And very excited for what’s ahead. #10YearsInBusiness #Entrepreneurship #Leadership #CommercialCleaning #SmallBusiness #Grateful
