A special evening at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki marked the opening of 'In Trust for Tomorrow: The Greg J Moyle Foundation Bequest'. The exhibition is the first public presentation of works from Greg Moyle’s extraordinary promised gift: 20 significant New Zealand artworks that will reshape and strengthen the Gallery’s collection for generations to come. Spanning more than a century of practice, the promised gift includes works by leading New Zealand artists such as Rita Angus, Jacqueline Fahey, Louise Henderson, Frances Hodgkins, Ralph Hotere, Raymond McIntyre, John Pule and Michael Smither. Thank you to Greg Moyle and his whānau for their generosity, and to the Auckland Art Gallery Foundation for facilitating this remarkable promised gift.
