Another week of summer means another intern spotlight. Today’s young professional loved his experience last year so much, he’s back for another summer with our Finance Development Program. Say hello and welcome back to Austin: “Hi everyone! My name is Austin, and I’m excited to be back at AT&T this summer. I'm originally from Chicago, and I'm currently studying Finance and Economics at Southern Methodist University. I chose AT&T because of its strong reputation as a Fortune 50 company that truly emphasizes growth. I've seen firsthand how much the company invests in its people through structured training, mentorship, and exposure to leaders across the organization. Those experiences, along with the "win as one" mentality, are what originally drew me in… and ultimately brought me back. This summer, I'm working with the ATS Finance team, which sits at the intersection of technology and finance. As data, automation, and digital tools continue to reshape how businesses operate, finance professionals who can bridge technical and strategic thinking will be essential. I'm excited to explore how those tools drive smarter financial decisions, improve efficiency, and support innovation across the business. My goal this summer is to continue building my technical and analytical skills while also strengthening my ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
