πŸ”¬ πŸ” βš›οΈ Today marks a major milestone for Australian R&D. The national partnership that has created a super-network of research infrastructure facilities, instruments and expertise is turning 20! 🧬 πŸƒ πŸ’½ The National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) is the hidden gem of Australian advancement. From supercomputers to ocean sensors, from ecosystem monitoring to advanced manufacturing and so much more, these 27 facilities underpin the work of thousands of people from research, industry and government every day. NCRIS is one of the world’s most respected research infrastructure systems – delivering impact across health, agriculture, energy, defence, environmental science and advanced manufacturing. Congratulations to all the facilities as they celebrate their role in Australian discovery, and a special shoutout to Integrated Marine Observing System Executive Director and ATSE Fellow Professor Michelle Heupel for all her work leading such an excellent facility over many years.
