๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Strengthening global science and technology partnerships for shared growth. This morning, ATSE CEO Professor Kylie Walker AM joined leaders from across research, industry, entrepreneurship and investment at the Embassy of Italy in Australia for the General Meeting of Italian Scientists in Australia. Kylie joined Michele Troni (Venture capitalist, Significant Ventures) and Roberto Di Procolo, MBA (Head of Helicopter business, Leonardo Australia), moderated by Marco Lazzarino(Scientific attachรฉ, Embassy of Italy in Canberra), to speak about purposeful research and development collaborations across international boundaries. The panel observed that multidisciplinary, multi-nation collaborations brought exponential opportunities for development and the application of new technologies, benefiting all parties. Kylie highlighted the potential for continuing to grow Australia and Italy's strong collaborations in space technology, and to share learnings from the recent Winter Olympics as Australia prepares for a low-carbon, circular approach to the 2036 Olympics in Brisbane. With a room full of Italian scientists and innovators living and working in Australia, the reception was optimistic and the discussion lively. We extend our thanks to His Excellency Nicola Lener, Ambassador of Italy to Australia for fostering this important dialogue.
