π As schools return for a new term, weβre excited to share a milestone for #STELR. π The STELR Fund has announced its first official round of successful recipients, with 12 schools across Australia receiving full or partial funding for hands-on STEM kits. These resources are already making a difference in classrooms, helping bring science and engineering to life for students. β Marble Bar Primary School, Western Australia β Girrawheen Senior High School, Western Australia β Balga Senior High School, Western Australia β Rushworth P-12 College, Victoria β Parafield Gardens High School, South Australia β Kimberley School Of The Air, Western Australia β Glenala State High School, Queensland β Nanango State High School, Queensland β Kyogle High School, New South Wales β Condell Park High School, New South Wales β Wyong High School, New South Wales β Mackay State High School, Queensland We were proud to welcome one of the recipients, Balga Senior High School, to the STELR Fundβs official launch in Perth last week. Students Jaslyn and Alissar, alongside their STEM teacher-in-charge, Dr Roslyn London, shared powerful insights into how the STELR kits are transforming their learning experience. Dr London, who has been teaching with STELR for over a decade, highlighted the impact: βWhen we rely on traditional, theory-heavy instruction, we inadvertently create barriers. For a refugee, immigrant or Indigenous student, a lesson without real-world application can feel like memorisation rather than learning.β π Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g_HzkndJ Alison Every Graham Stock
