What if critical medical samples didn’t need to sit in traffic? In London, drones are now transporting blood samples and biopsies between hospitals - reducing delivery times and helping speed up diagnostics. Through the London Health Bridge project, delivered by Apian and Matternet, we’ve supported safe, real-world drone operations by providing independent flightworthiness assessment as a Recognised Assessment Entity for Flightworthiness (RAE(F)) acting on behalf of the Civil Aviation Authority. The result: faster delivery times, fewer delays for supplies, and a glimpse into how innovation can improve patient care. This is just the start of what’s possible as commercial drone networks scale.
