A defining week at #CNA2026 This week, our team attended the Canadian Nuclear Association’s annual conference, Canada’s largest nuclear industry event. As proud Uranium sponsors, we joined leaders from government, industry, and academia to advance conversations on how Canadian-owned nuclear technology supports the clean energy transition, strengthens energy security, and drives long term economic growth. During the conference, our President and CEO, Ian Edwards, had the honour of introducing the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Timothy Hodgson, as he announced the development of Canada’s first ever Nuclear Energy Strategy. Led by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), the strategy will build on made-in-Canada strengths, including CANDU® technology, abundant uranium resources, a highly skilled workforce, and a world leading safety regime, to support the next phase of nuclear growth in Canada and internationally. Our experts also led and participated in panel discussions focused on leadership in Canada’s nuclear sector, collaboration to scale medical isotope production, industry–academic partnerships to build the future workforce, and the role of engineering and construction in delivering major nuclear and infrastructure projects.
