Calgary's Green Line LRT project is laying the foundation for the city's future growth, expanding rapid transit to underserved communities and strengthening mobility across Calgary. As the largest infrastructure investment in the city's history, Phase 1 will add 17.2 kilometres of LRT infrastructure and 12 new stations, providing rapid, reliable service between southeast Calgary and downtown and connecting people to approximately 190,000 jobs within walking distance of the stations. As Delivery Partner for Phase 1, we are working alongside the City of Calgary and our partners to help deliver a safe, reliable light rail system. Scheduled for completion in 2031, the Green Line is expected to serve up to 55,000 daily riders, reduce travel times for southeast Calgary residents, and eliminate an estimated 37,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions annually.
