When faced with a tough business decision, choose the path that protects the long term health of the company and reflects who you truly are. Make the decision you would feel proud explaining to your kids one day, not one you would need to justify or hide. I remind my kids often that people matter more than money. If I do not live that out in my own decisions, then the words mean nothing. Thank you to the people who helped me when they didn’t have to. I’d be nowhere without the selflessness of a few. I’d start naming them but I would feel terrible for the ones I missed.
