🎥 Recap: High Performance Trip to Vienna – November 19–20, 2025   The Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation is pleased to look back on a successful and inspiring High Performance Trip 2025, which offered students and young professionals a compact yet insightful introduction to Vienna’s life sciences ecosystem.   The program began at Boehringer Ingelheim, where participants were welcomed with a company presentation followed by a guided tour of the site. This allowed the group to gain a clear impression of the daily work, facilities, and research environment of one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.   At the Vienna BioCenter, the group received an overview of the campus and its companies before visiting the Vienna BioCenter Core Facilities (VBCF). Here, participants were able to look behind the scenes of cutting-edge laboratory technologies. The visit concluded with a networking session, during which our group had the opportunity to meet and speak with company representatives and CEOs based on the campus.   Our visits to LISAvienna and LISA - Life Science Austria provided additional insights into the organizations’ roles in supporting startups, research institutions, and established companies across Vienna and Austria.   At Ottobock, participants attended a company presentation and were guided through the production area, offering a close-up view of how prosthetics and medical devices are designed and manufactured.   To round off the first day, we spent the evening together at the Christmas market at Schloss Belvedere, enjoying the festive atmosphere and informal conversations. ✨   Overall, the High Performance Trip gave participants a valuable and enjoyable overview of Austria’s dynamic life sciences landscape. We are delighted to support this exchange and look forward to future opportunities to connect young talent with leading innovators in the field. 🚀 Karin Emprechtinger Abigail J.
