Thank you to the Women in ETFs APAC community who came to the ASX office here in Sydney for a panel held to discuss the importance of market makers to the ETF industry. Moderated by Monica Hong, Macquarie Group, the panel included Morgan Potter, Nine Mile, Mark Collett, BlackRock and Daniel Young, Citi. Together, they spoke on the role that market makers play to provide liquidity and tight spreads to ensure investors access products at fair prices under any condition. In addition to discussing the differences between external and internal market making and the different active ETF disclosure models, the panel also touched on the future of ETF trading within Australia - and how RFQ’s can be implemented to provide simultaneous competitive quotes from multiple market makers to deliver firmer pricing. #women #womeninetfs #womeninfinance #finance #etf
