AstraZeneca's Day 2 participation at GITEX FUTURE HEALTH Africa highlighted the power of partnerships, innovation, and shared purpose. A key milestone for #AstraZeneca was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministère de la Santé et de la Protection Sociale - Maroc, introducing #HealthyHeartAfrica in Morocco and reinforcing our commitment to building resilient and sustainable healthcare systems through prevention and early diagnosis. We also signed an MoU with Fondation Mohammed VI des Sciences et de la Santé to support the creation of a Morocco HealthTech Hub, focused on advancing: • #PrecisionMedicine and digital pathology • #AI integration across patient pathways • #DataAndAnalytics for evidence‑based decision‑making • #HealthTech capability building for clinicians, researchers, and innovation stakeholders Innovation came to life through demonstrations by our partners Optomed Plc, Clinera, and Qure.ai, showcasing scalable digital solutions addressing real healthcare system needs. We were also pleased to welcome the British Consulate General Team in Morocco to our booth, engaging with our teams and exploring these innovations firsthand. During the African Health Tech Vanguard session, Yasser Reda Ezzat represented AstraZeneca, sharing how locally adapted and home‑grown health technologies can be scaled to address real hospital challenges across the continent. To conclude this impactful day, we were proud to receive our Best Places to Work Certification Program award in Morocco —along with new recognition for #GenderEquality, a reflection of our people‑focused culture and inclusive workplace. A day rich in collaboration, innovation, and purpose—one we are truly proud of.
