"The dyeing process is fashion's blind spot." That's what Philippe Berlan told us in the latest episode of Humans of Asterion. Philippe spent 25 years in the textile industry. La Redoute, Petit Bateau, Lancel... He knows the sector inside out. And there's one thing that always bothered him: Textile dyeing accounts for 52% of fashion's carbon footprint yet no one was talking about it. "In large corporations, you manage CSR plans with 100 Excel lines at 0.1% each. Here, it's potentially 20-25% impact with ONE action." That's what drew him to EverDye. A technology born from Amira Erokh's PhD research: bio-sourced pigments, dyeing at room temperature, compatible with existing infrastructure. The results: → 8x less energy consumption → -90% water pollution → 3x shorter cycle time → Patents in 33 countries We invested at seed in 2022. We doubled down in the €15M Series A last year. In this episode, Philippe shares what it means to go from 2,000 employees to 20, and why he made that leap at 55. Link in comments ⤵️
