We are honored to welcome Prof. Federica Sallusto (ETH Zurich, Switzerland) and Prof. Lanzavecchia Antonio (INGM, Italy) to A*STAR today! Our investigators had the immense privilege to engage Prof. Sallusto and Prof. Lanzavecchia in insightful scientific discussions on how T cells play a role towards combating infection, and why establishing strong international networks is vital, especially for advancement of ID research and innovation. Prof. Sallusto also delivered an impactful seminar on her groundbreaking contributions towards understanding T cell responses for infection and immunity, leading to translational outcomes including vaccine development for infectious diseases.
