Signed on 7 April at Institut Pasteur in Paris, the MRCA builds on the momentum from the MoU signed between both institutions in Singapore last November. Marking a new chapter in our collaboration, this framework will focus on developing innovative technologies that address global health challenges posed by infectious diseasesโincluding respiratory and vector-borne diseases, as well as antimicrobial resistance. Beyond research, the agreement will enable talent exchange and unlock new funding opportunities, accelerating scientific progress with real-world impact. As a first step, two collaborative research projects will be launched, namely ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฏ๐ง๐ฆ๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ, and ๐๐ช๐ค๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฃ๐ช๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฏ๐ง๐ฆ๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ. The MRCA was also spotlighted during Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of National Research Foundation Singapore Mr Heng Swee Keat's recent official visit to France, with a symbolic exchange of agreements marking this important milestone in Singapore-France scientific collaboration. We were also deeply honoured to have a fruitful discussion with DPM Heng. Together, we aim to push the frontiers of infectious disease research and innovation, driving translational impact at scale and speed, for a healthier and more resilient global future! Lisa F.P.
