Following the amazing 7- 8 October 2024 Emerging Fungal Infections Symposium, Team A*STAR IDL was invited to attend the Pasteur Network Annual Meeting #PNAM2024 in Rio de Janeiro!   We deeply share the Pasteur Network’s vision for the future of global health collaboration and are deeply grateful for this opportunity to connect with the Pasteur Network. All thanks to the President of the Pasteur Network Amadou Sall and Executive Director Rebecca Grais! A*STAR IDL is committed to further research collaborations with the Pasteur Network towards translational impact to enhance health, support industry outcomes and respond to future pandemics!   A key highlight from the event was the focus on strengthening mRNA vaccine research and innovation, and ultimately production, through cutting-edge research and international collaboration, as part of stepping up global efforts in the fight against infectious diseases and epidemic preparedness. This complements well with A*STAR IDL’s ongoing research efforts towards strategic optimisation of mRNA Vaccines for preparedness, amongst others. By fostering collaborative efforts and sharing insights, we envision the event will advance our understanding of infectious diseases in the areas of vector-borne, respiratory and anti-microbial resistance, as well as explore cutting-edge strategies, and ultimately work towards effective solutions in diagnostics, vaccines and therapeutics.
