Last week, ๐*๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ป๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ (๐*๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐) was delighted to host close to 20 Masters students from the ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐จ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฆ๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒโ๐ ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ cohort. ๐ The visit was organised to complement the studentsโ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ module, providing insights into ๐ถ๐ป๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต and our broader efforts in ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐บ๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐. ๐งฌ๐ฌ The programme featured a scientific presentation, followed by a panel discussion involving our staff, where they shared their career journeys and perspectives on working in infectious disease research and innovation. Through the engaging interactions, students gained a deeper appreciation of how our ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐, ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, ๐ถ๐ป๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ถ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ underpins the development of ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐น ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ด๐ป๐ผ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐, ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐. Students also had the opportunity to see firsthand the technologies supporting our research, and to better understand how we ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ to support ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ in ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, as well as ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ๐.
