🌍 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱! We are delighted to share that the A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs - A*STAR IDL and the Parasites and Microbes Programme at Wellcome Sanger Institute have signed a 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗠𝗼𝗨) to strengthen collaboration in 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵. 🤝 This partnership marks an important step towards accelerating efforts to tackle some of the world’s most pressing health challenges — from 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗔𝗠𝗥) and 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, to the 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗜-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 in infectious disease research. 💡🧬 By combining 𝗔*𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥 𝗜𝗗𝗟’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝘀 in pathogen biology and evolution, implementing assays, and translational data integration with 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 from their Parasites and Microbes Programme in genomic technologies, data analytics, and global training programmes, we aim to drive impactful research that: ✅ Strengthens ID preparedness capabilities  ✅ Improves health outcomes ✅ Creates platforms for new ID strategies towards development of novel therapeutics, vaccines and diagnostics.
