Today, on International Women in Engineering Day, Assystem is bringing together policymakers and industry leaders for our conference, Powering the UK's Future Economy: Women's Leadership in STEM Industries, delivered in partnership with the Women and Work APPG. As the UK invests heavily in nuclear, clean energy and critical infrastructure, expanding women's participation in STEM represents one of the biggest opportunities to strengthen the future workforce, increase productivity and drive economic growth. The benefits extend far beyond individual careers. More women in high-value engineering, energy and technology roles means higher household incomes, reduced economic inequality and greater financial security for families. At a national level, it means unlocking talent that the UK simply cannot afford to leave on the sidelines. That's why today's discussion matters. We're delighted to welcome speakers from Rolls-Royce SMR, EDF, Toyota, Great British Energy-Nuclear, DSIT and organisations across the public and private sectors as we explore how to accelerate women's leadership and participation in the industries that will power the UK's future economy.
