📣 Just released: ACC's new report, “How Legal Departments Are Adapting to Geopolitical Uncertainty." Based on a flash poll of 168 General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel across 20 industries, the report examines how geopolitical developments are reshaping legal department responsibilities, resource allocation, and organizational structures. Key Findings: ▶️ Governance gaps are widespread. More than half of organizations rely on informal or ad hoc approaches to geopolitical risk or haven't addressed it at all. ▶️ Workloads are rising unevenly. 53% of respondents report increased workload, with manufacturing and larger firms hit hardest, while resources and structures have struggled to keep pace. ▶️ Crisis management is becoming the norm. 1 in 6 legal professionals pivot to crisis mode at least weekly for manufacturing counsel, jumping to 2 in 5, signaling real structural strain.
