MAGDALENA GEKA’S PORTRAIT Magdalena Geka, born in 1992, is a winner of numerous international competitions and was nominated for the 2014 Latvian Music Grand Prix Young Artist of the Year. She has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Hamburger Symphoniker, the Chernihiv Symphony Orchestra (Ukraine) or the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. Passionate about chamber music, Magdalēna was the violinist of the Sora Trio for more than three years, and with this group travelled the prestigious stages of New York, Paris, London and Melbourne. She has also performed with the Kremerata Baltica and has been a guest at international festivals. Founder and artistic director of two chamber music festivals, Magdalēna is also passionate about contemporary music and has participated in more than thirty creations. Magdalēna Geka graduated from the CNSM of Paris with a Master's degree in violin (2017) and chamber music (2018). During her studies, she benefited from the guidance of Svetlin Roussev, Mathieu Herzog, Itamar Golan and the Artemis Quartet. 🎼 PORTRAIT DE MAGDALENA GEKA  Magdalena Geka, née en 1992, est lauréate de nombreux concours internationaux et a été nommée au Grand Prix de la Musique de Lettonie 2014 jeune artiste de l’année. Elle s’est produite avec des orchestres renommés tels que le Hamburger Symphoniker, l’Orchestre symphonique de Chernihiv (Ukraine) ou l’Orchestre National Symphonique de Lettonie. Passionnée par la musique de chambre, Magdalēna a été la violoniste du Trio Sora pendant plus de trois ans, et avec cette formation a parcouru les scènes prestigieuses de New York, Paris, Londres et Melbourne. Elle a également joué au sein de la Kremerata Baltica et a été l'invitée de festivals internationaux. Fondatrice et directrice artistique de deux festivals de musique de chambre, Magdalēna est également passionnée de musique contemporaine et a participé à plus d’une trentaine de créations. Magdalēna Geka est diplômée d’un Master du CNSM de Paris en violon (2017) et en musique de chambre (2018).
