How can leading-edge digital work platforms reshape life in poor communities? Find out in this week’s People of ACM profile as we interview Vivek Sehshadri. Seshadri is the Co-founder and CTO of Karya, a mobile platform that has helped more than 100,000 workers in rural areas across India earn up to 20 times the minimum wage. The Karya model also helps companies, as the tasks the workers perform are then used to develop AI-based language models. Seshadri opens a window on the development of Karya, as well as his goal of expanding this technology to countries around the world. He was recently named the recipient of the 2025 ACM India Early Career Researcher Award. Read the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/ehYVXbhr
