Standing here at ASQ WCQI 2026, you can’t help but notice how much the conversation around quality is changing. It’s not just the tools and standards that are evolving — it’s who’s carrying them forward. Being in the room with so many experienced professionals made me think deeper about the next generation coming up behind us. The young quality professionals who will inherit this field, and what it actually takes for them to step up and move it ahead. That reflection led me to my new quote: “It’s not all about understanding the younger generation. It’s about giving them the opportunity and opening doors for them to create value for your organization.” I wanted to share it with you because if we’re serious about the future of quality, it starts with access, not just awareness.
