We're supporting the next generation of Aboriginal Health Practitioners! Aspen Medical Foundation sponsored three Aboriginal Health Workers to attend the NAASIHWP Symposium, an inspiring event celebrating knowledge-sharing, connection, and professional growth amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners. We’re proud to have supported three scholarship recipients including Jake Buckingham of ARMAJUN HEALTH SERVICE ABORIGINAL CORPORATION in Inverell, and Michelle Williams of Purple House (Western Desert Nganampa Walytja Palyantjaku Tjutaku Aboriginal Corporation) in Alice Springs. Learning from respected leaders and partner organisations, the scholarship recipients described the Symposium as “more than just a series of workshops” - taking part in sessions on ECG interpretation, wound care, point-of-care testing, virology and eye health. They said what they valued most, however, was the opportunity to be surrounded by other Aboriginal Health Workers and Practitioners from across the country, sharing stories, exchanging knowledge and building connections that made the experience truly memorable. Aspen Medical Foundation is honoured to play a small role in empowering the next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Professionals. 💙 The Aspen Medical Foundation is funded through profits from Aspen Medical Pty Limited and donations from the Aspen Medical team and other supporters. #AspenMedicalFoundation #AspenMedical #AboriginalHealth #ClosingTheGap #HealthWorkforce #NAASIHWP
