PIA NSW Transport Symposium 2026 Streets for all users: urbanism and mobility at human scale. The Planning Institute of Australia’s popular biennial Transport Symposium returns to Sydney this year, hosted at Quay Quarter in the CBD - one of the city’s most significant transport hubs. The location reflects the event’s focus on integrated transport, movement, place and city-shaping outcomes. Bringing together 80–100 planners, transport professionals, urban designers and government stakeholders, the symposium will explore how policy translates into streets that are safe, inclusive and effective for all users. As a guest speaker, ASPECT Studios Global Design Director Sacha Coles will bring to the panel discussion a case study of the Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway in his “55 Steps to Zero: Removing Barriers to Active Travel” presentation.
