🌊 Reimagining Our Relationship with the Ocean: ASN’s Sustainable Commitment This UN World Ocean Day, the theme "REIMAGINE: Beyond the world we know, a new relationship with our ocean" calls for a shift from passive use to act sustainably to safeguard our oceans. At Alcatel Submarine Networks, we are turning this vision into action through concrete initiatives: ✅ Ocean Data Sharing – As the first private company in UNESCO/IOC’s Corporate Data Group, we contribute critical bathymetric data to Seabed 2030, helping map the 73% of the ocean floor that remains unexplored. ✅ Marine Biodiversity Protection – With LD Armateurs (LDA), we monitor marine mammals from our vessels, sharing data to reduce ship strikes and support global conservation efforts. ✅ Climate & Ocean Monitoring – Through "10,000 Ships for the Oceans", our cable ships—equipped with Météo-France weather stations—provide real-time atmospheric and ocean data for climate research. ✅ Scientific Collaboration – Our membership in the NOC Innovations Hub ensures our operations align with cutting-edge ocean science, bridging industry and research. ✅ Sustainable Subsea Networks – As part of the SSN initiative (awarded at the 2026 Tech Capital Global Awards), we’re driving eco-friendly advancements in submarine telecom infrastructure.
