Dear Friends and Neighbors, When was the last time you truly unplugged and reconnected with the people who matter most? In our busy lives, we often move in parallel with our families—sharing a roof but missing the deeper moments. This week at Toastmasters, we invite you to hear a moving personal story of what happens when we step away from the noise and into the wild. Join us for a special speech titled: "Redeeming the Peak: A Tale of Two Paces.", presented by our club president Jian. Jian will share a journey through Yosemite National Park—a trip years in the making. It’s a story of her son’s "missed" pandemic milestone transformed into a beautiful three-generation retreat. You’ll hear about: The Gentle Path: Walking through ancient sequoias and misty valley floors with grandparents. The Strenuous Climb: A grueling ascent to the top of Upper Yosemite Fall with a college-aged son. The Spiritual Renewal: Finding the peace and joy among the singing mountains. Whether you are a seasoned hiker, a lover of the Sierras, or someone looking to find more balance and connection in your own life, this speech will offer a fresh perspective on why we all need a "family vacation in the wild." Join us on Zoom for this insightful session: Date: Sunday, April 19, 2026 Time: 6:30PM to 7:30PM Meeting Link: In the weekly email. Toastmasters is a supportive space where we practice the art of storytelling and leadership. Guests are always welcome to attend for free to listen, learn, and be inspired. See you there!
