Every great civilization begins with a cradle — and ends with a legacy. Inspired by the words of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: "Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave" "اطلبوا العلم من المهد الي اللحد " I designed this school complex not just as a building, but as an embrace — a space that receives the human being from their earliest years and accompanies them through every stage of learning. It's my pleasure to share with you one of my architectural projects 💥💙💗 🎓 School Design Project | Al-Azhar – Faculty of Engineering Urban Planning Department | Second Year 📐 Project Overview 🏫 Site: Service center within a new residential corridor 📏 Area:3 feddans |Building coverage: 50% 🧭 Orientation: Classrooms carefully oriented to maximize beneficial morning sunlight while shielding students from harsh afternoon exposure 🏗️ Program & Design The concept form — a child's silhouette seen from above — embeds meaning directly into the architecture: - 🔵 Primary School Wing— 3 floors, connected to administration - 🔴 Preparatory School Wing— 4 floors, extending from the primary block - ⭕ Administration Building — circular form, connecting both wings - ⭕ Nursery Building — separate single-story circular volume - 🎭 Assembly Hall — 100 m², 8m height - 🔬 9 Shared Laboratories distributed across 3 floors (serving both levels) - 💻 3 Computer Labs + Library - 🏃 Sports courts & outdoor spaces 🧰 Tools: Autocad & Photoshop &Revet 💡 Design Philosophy This hadith shaped every decision I made — from the nursery placed as a welcoming embrace, to the seamless connection between primary and preparatory learning environments. The school doesn't just teach — it holds.
