Amendments to South Australia’s labour hire licensing laws now require labour hire providers in all industries to be licensed. Labour hire providers (except those already required to hold a licence) have been given a grace period under the Amendment Act until 29 July 2026 to become licensed by Consumer and Business Services (CBS). Members are urged to lodge their licence application early to avoid being in breach when the grace period ends. At least six weeks should be allowed for the application process ahead of the 29 July 2026 deadline. Serious financial penalties of up to $400,000 apply! In today’s Member Bulletin (MBN131), we offer context and information regarding changes to labour licensing laws in South Australia. Our ASIAL members receive vital communications which help to ensure they keep themselves and their business ahead of law and regulation changes.
