Mentorship from experienced professionals is valuable. But there is something different — something more immediate — about feedback from a peer who is on the same journey. At Ashoka, we run what we call Peer World Cafes: collaborative spaces where young applicants engage in dialogue, review each other's ideas, and co-create solutions. The results are not just better pitches. They are stronger networks, lower dropout rates, and a sense of community that carries long after the program ends. One YACCC participant told us: "Ashoka linked us with radio hosts and we got featured in articles, which helped raise awareness about our brand. They also connected us with opportunities beyond Ashoka — fellowships and programs that opened some real doors for us."
