I am pleased to inform that I have been #promoted to the post of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, one of the highest levels that an Indian Forest Service officer can reach. This journey of over 30 years of learning, unlearning, joy and challenges started with my initial years of working in core #forestry and #wildlife #management. Later, I switched to #policy and #implementation of #Environment, Air Quality Management #AQM, #ClimateChange, #CircularEconomy etc. At this stage of my career, I can reiterate with confidence that the Indian Forest Service (IFS) - Government of India is the best #publicservice in the country. It offers diverse #opportunities to work for the survival of the #planetearth and its people through #policy #planning, on-ground #actions, #innovation, and #collaboration with #communities. While about five more years still remain in my journey, it is clear to me that a #forester remains a forester in his soul! I am so grateful to Hon’ble CM, UP; my Hon’ble Departmental Ministers; Sh Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary UP; Sh S P Goyal ACS to CM UP; Sh Sanjay Prasad Principal Secretary to CM UP; Sh Anil Kumar Principal Secretary DoEFCC UP; Sh Sunil Chaudhary PCCF & Head of Forests UP and all collegue with whom I’ve been working with through this journey.
