Building BALLR
I completed my first program with Harvard Medical School. Here are my three biggest takeaways: 1. Habit stacking is the key to success (and it's pretty easy). Identify one habit someone is already good at and make them realise how they can apply it towards improving their diet. E.g. a disciplined business owner who structures their days can also structure in time to plan meals for the week 2. No one food source or macro is the problem. Unless its an ultra processed food, then it's a massive one... Everyone needs a variety of food (different proteins, fats and carbs). The key is knowing what you need and when you need it. Protein- 1.6-2.2g/kg of BW from mainly fish, nuts or poultry Carbs- Prioritise whole-grains that are lower on the glycemic index (unless you're an athlete). Fats- Focus on fats that have a higher ratio of Polyunsaturated fats : Saturated fats 3. You're capable of more than you think. More of a personal one but being a full time uni student-athlete, working to grow my business and studying online at Harvard reminded me of how sacrifice and the elimination of other options is 99% of the job (found this to be simple, not easy). Then all you're left with is simply getting it done. Anyways one down, two to go...
