Professor Sung Wook Hwang of the Division of Gastroenterology at Asan Medical Center has become the first inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) specialist in Korea to receive certification from both International Bowel UltraSound (IBUS) Group and the Gastroenterology Network of Intestinal Ultrasound (GENIUS), two leading international organizations for intestinal ultrasound.👨‍⚕️ 🥇 Intestinal ultrasound is a convenient and effective tool for monitoring inflammation in IBD patients without the need for fasting or bowel preparation.
