With a strong emphasis on continuous learning and development, we recently partnered with Cloud Native Kuala Lumpur (CNKL) to host a session on open-source technologies. The session aimed to bring together software developers, cloud engineers, and open-source enthusiasts to deepen their understanding of cloud-native concepts and explore practical use cases applicable to their daily work. We were pleased to feature two excellent speakers—Aswath N Srinivasan and our internal speaker Kavish Punchoo from Arvato Systems Malaysia—who each shared insights on Search Innovations with OpenSearch, and Rebuilding Trust in the Software Supply Chain on Kubernetes, respectively.   Aswath’s session highlighted OpenSearch as a distributed search and analytics engine capable of transforming raw data into structured, queryable knowledge. He demonstrated its applications across business intelligence, observability, and AI, illustrating how vector search and Retrieval-Augmented Generation can enable developers to build intelligent, insight-driven solutions.   In the second session, Kavish provided valuable perspectives on the breakdown of trust in the software supply chain and approaches to strengthening it within Kubernetes environments. He outlined risks associated with self-replicating malware targeting developer systems and CI pipelines with recent real-world examples, and emphasized the importance of traceability in enabling faster detection, response, and recovery from potential attacks.   Overall, the session was highly insightful and reflects our continued commitment to empowering the community through meaningful learning and development opportunities. Special thanks to the team at Cloud Native Kuala Lumpur for partnering with us in driving knowledge sharing within the tech community and we look forward to more collaboration opportunities in the near future!   #ArvatoSystemsMalaysia #WeEmpowerDigitalLeaders #CloudNative #LearningandDevelopment
